Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

The Wellbeing Officer will be responsible for the promotion, delivery and administration of health and wellbeing programmes to support families, individuals, groups and community members by building relationships, aiding in personal development and helping people to enrich their lives and make the changes they want to improve their health, mental health and general wellbeing.    

 

The Wellbeing Officer will work as part of the Well Fed team, supporting them in building stronger communities while operating with a social conscience to improve people’s lives.

 

The Wellbeing Officer will be expected to bring an enthusiastic and flexible approach to the role and will endeavor to explore every avenue open to help deliver Well Fed’s vision, while focusing on supporting people in the local community and beyond, while helping to maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all.  

 

The main responsibilities of the role are:                              

·       Delivery of fun, engaging activities for children and parents.  

·       Delivery of activities for the wider community.  

·       Keeping detailed statistics, records and associated paperwork for all              activities and events.  

·       Signposting people to relevant support that is available to them.  

·       Building and developing strong relationships with community members, external partners and all relevant stakeholders.  

·       Developing and nurturing volunteers.  

·       Supporting peer lead community projects.  

·       Finding and executing targeted programmes, where appropriate, aimed at young people and the wider community to help develop skills, fight isolation and build confidence.  

·       Developing individual plans for clients/families.  

·       Ensuring you are up to date with the latest news and events within the community and around the 3rdsector in Glasgow.  

·       Develop and nurture inclusion in the community.  

·       To develop a clear mission statement for the Well Being Programme.

·       Responsible for managing the Well Being budget and seeking potential funding opportunities.  

·       Responsible for own on-going personal development.  

 

Skills Essential for the role

·       Experience of supporting vulnerable Service User groups

·       Experience of planning and delivering activities and events

·       Must be a good listener, with an empathetic approach, and an        understanding of the impact individual situations can have on            people’s abilities to engage.    

·       Previous experience of Managing teams and groups.

·       Effective conflict management skills.  

·       Report writing skills.  

·       Project management skills.

·       Experience of managing Health & Safety around events and activities.  A good understanding of current COVID protocols would be an advantage.  

·       Experience of marketing and promotion.  

·       Adaptable and accustomed to working in fast-paced environments.    

·       Excellent innovator who is willing to think outside the box to successfully deliver events and activities to engage with the community and meet desired outcomes.  

·       Experience of applying for funding would be an advantage.  

·       Cares about people and has a genuine desire to help people to improve their lives in a way that is comfortable and achievable for them.  

·       Friendly and approachable person.  

·       Pro-active problem solver.  

·       A confident public speaker who brings drive and energy to the role.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

Well Fed is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to manage the office and handle duties for senior management. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of the Well Fed team. The ability to multi-task, while managing administrative support, is essential in this position.  

 

The main responsibilities of the role are:        

·       Generate memos, emails and reports when appropriate.

·       Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment, including computers, copy machines, etc.

·       Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and order items.

·       Respond to questions and requests for information.

·       Answer incoming calls and assume other receptionist duties when needed

·       Manage workflow by prioritising tasks.  

·       Implement and monitor programmes as directed by management.

 

Skills Essential for the role

·       Must have good typing and interpersonal skills.  

·       Willing to be flexible.  

·       Good problem solver.
